Survey, Supply and Installation of Splashbacks:

What we will do:

Jellyfish will arrange for your splashback to be measured and templated, order the glass and arrange for it to be edged and toughened, spray your splashback in the colour of your choice and install your splashback for you.

What you need to do:

Please give us a contact number for the day of installation.

We currently arrange templating appointments Monday- Friday 9-5pm.

Please ensure that the wall is flat, smooth and free from loose particles. If you have had your wall plastered, please ensure it is fully dry and sealed with paint or PVA or similar.

Plug sockets will need to be removed before we arrive to install your splashback and rewired by a qualified electrician.

Obstructions: If, for example, a tap is in front of the splashback you will need to remove this yourself. If you are unsure, you can send us a photo of the area where we will be installing or seek advice from our fitter on the day of templating, ( if applicable).

Choose a colour for your splashback from our showroom or simply give us a paint code eg: BS, RAL, Dulux, Farrow & Ball.

If you require a glitter finish we recommend that you visit our showroom to see the different glitter levels and how light affects their visibility. Glitter finishes look best with a light source next to them and will not be very visible in poorly lit areas.

On the day of completion you will need to carry out an inspection of the job and raise any snagging issues on a document which the fitter with provide you with. You will then need to sign the document for our records and return it to us via the fitter. Jellyfish cannot be held responsible for any damage caused to your splashback or your property reported after this date.

How to care for your splashback: It should be cleaned with glass cleaner (available from supermarkets) or warm soapy water. Never use acids or solvents as use of such substances could lead to discolouration and cloudiness. Although toughened glass is 5-6 times stronger than standard glass, it can still be scratched.  All cleaning products should be applied with a soft cloth or sponge. Abrasive cleaning implements such as scourers wire brushes, razor blades and wire wool should NOT be used. These and similar cleaning tools could lead to permanent damage to the glass surface.

Jellyfish do not carry out repairs onsite so please ensure that great care is taken by tradesmen onsite. Although we can provide a small pot of touch up paint on collection, ( please request this in advance ), please note that our high gloss goods cannot be touched up on site and any damage caused on site would mean that the complete damaged surface needs to be started from scratch. These goods cannot be bubble wrapped so please take appropriate precautions when arranging collection.

When collecting goods early against our advice, Jellyfish are not responsible for repairs to the goods either in transit or on site at a later date.

Also, when ordering splashbacks as supply only, please see our guide for templating your own splashback. Toughened glass cannot be cut down to fit and Jellyfish cannot be responsible for remaking splashbacks where incorrect measurements were given by the customer. Low module silicone MUST be used when fixing your splashback to the wall.

Please check your goods on collection as Jellyfish are not responsible for damage noticed after collection. Damage caused in transit by yourselves or your courier is not the responsibility of Jellyfish.
